Welcome back! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable spring break. It has been lovely to see the children return refreshed and ready for the busy and exciting term ahead. This week has already seen a wonderful start, with plenty of enthusiasm in the classroom and a number of activities to look forward to as the term unfolds.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the term! The children had great fun taking part in our Easter egg hunt in the Square, searching high and low for hidden treats.

It was a pleasure to welcome our CHS families into school for our annual Open Morning.

This week, we marked British Science Week with an assembly on the theme of Change and Adapt.

The children had a fantastic time dressing up for an early World Book Day celebration!

Welcome back to the second half of this busy spring term – we hope all our families had a wonderful half-term and have already taken note of our "save the date" communication sent earlier today.

Mrs Hampton began the week with a Good Work Assembly, celebrating the fantastic achievements of the children throughout the first half of the term.

On Monday, Forms Four and Five headed to the British Museum for a trip to ancient times.

Miss Wilkins held a special assembly on Monday introducing the important topic, “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself”, to kick off our focus on Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from Monday 3rd to the 9th February.

Mrs Hampton started the week with a key assembly on the importance of kindness.

The week started off on a high note with the much-anticipated first House Points reveal of the year during Monday’s assembly.

Happy New Year! It has been wonderful, welcoming all of your children back to school after the festive season.

The final week of the term began with pupils from Forms Four to Six delighting guests at the Victory Services Club with a festive selection of songs.

The Festive Postbox will be open for one last day on Monday, 9th December, for children to postcards to their classmates.

What a cold and chilly week it has been! Please remember to ensure children are arriving at school with hats, scarves and both gloves clearly labelled with their names.

The cold weather has certainly arrived at school this week, with temperatures dropping as we head into winter.

The school is finally free of scaffolding, with all building works completed just in time for the exciting visit from the Jigsaw Company which is our scheme of work for Personal, Social and Health Education.

We began the week by introducing the new PSHE topic, Celebrating Differences, during assembly.

This week began with a Good Work Assembly with Mrs Hampton, where the children’s efforts and achievements from the first half term were celebrated.

Our pupils kicked off the week with a wonderful assembly led by all members of the Pupil Council from Form Two to Form Six.
