"Connaught House School is such a special place. Those years shaped me in ways I only truly appreciate now and they remain some of the happiest and most meaningful of my life."

Tailored Teaching: Supported and Stretched

No two children learn in quite the same way. Our form teachers are experienced, passionate and deeply committed to knowing each child;

And because specialist teachers take the lead in art, music, dance and drama, French and PE they have the time and space to do that properly. Your child's form teacher isn't rushing from subject to subject; they are planning, thinking and personalising. Every lesson your child walks into, whether it is with their form teacher or one of our specialists, is led by someone who really knows their subject and genuinely loves teaching it.

Shared Ambition, Parental Partnership

The families who choose CHS tend to share something; a belief that happiness, kindness and ambition belong together in a good education. That shared outlook is what makes our community feel the way it does and it starts long before your child's first day.

We see you as a true partner in your child's education; not just kept informed but genuinely involved. You will always find an open door here. Whether it is a quick word at the school gate, a proper sit-down conversation or checking in about something on your mind; we are accessible, honest and on your side. You know your child best. We want to hear that.

Where Every Child Feels Part of The Community

Starting school is a big moment for your child and for you. At CHS we take that seriously. Before your child even walks through our doors on their first day we will already know them.

We aim to visit every new child in their own nursery setting in the summer before they join us and we invite children in to meet us and their new classmates too. We also sit down with you as parents so that by September nobody is starting from scratch. Your child arrives already known; already welcomed and that makes all the difference.

Kind, Confident and Ready for the World

Academic achievement matters deeply to us but so does the person your child is growing into. We want them to feel emotionally secure; to bounce back when things are hard and to treat the people around them with genuine kindness and consideration.

These aren't extras that happen alongside the learning; they are woven into every day. We actively nurture the skills that will serve your child long after they leave us: the confidence to speak up, the resilience to keep going and the emotional intelligence to understand themselves and others.
