As we reach the end of another academic year, we would like to thank all of our pupils, parents, staff and wider school community for making it such a memorable one. Our final week has been filled with excitement, celebration and togetherness.

Thank you

The staff would like to send their thanks for the many gifts, cards and kind words they have received at the end of term.  It is much appreciated.

Form Six Secret Trip

On Monday, our Form Six pupils enjoyed their eagerly awaited secret trip to High Ashurst Activity Centre with Mrs Hampton and Mr Garvey. After meeting bright and early at Victoria Station, the adventure began!

The children (and teachers alike!) had a fantastic day taking part in a range of exciting activities, including archery and trapeze,  enjoying plenty of laughter, teamwork and memorable moments. It was a wonderful opportunity for our oldest pupils to celebrate the end of their time at school together, and they returned tired but full of smiles and stories to share.

School Fête

Wednesday saw our much-anticipated annual School Fête successfully run by our fabulous Parents Fundraising Committee, and what a wonderful afternoon it was. Families came together to enjoy a variety of traditional fair games, activities and refreshments, creating a lovely atmosphere.
A very special thank you goes to our alumni, who returned to support the school community by generously giving their time to run several of the stalls. It was wonderful to welcome them back and see former pupils reconnect with the school.
We are delighted to share that the money raised will go towards supporting families within our school community who are experiencing hardship. Our particular thanks to Ms Dvorkis and Mrs Khalastchi, as Chair and Vice Chair of the committee.  Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and contributed so generously.

Annual Prize Giving

On Thursday, we gathered for our Annual Prize Giving, an occasion that celebrates the achievements and successes of our pupils throughout the year.
Whilst not every child receives an award, the ceremony recognises those who have won competitions, demonstrated exemplary behaviour, outstanding effort, perseverance and commitment to their learning. We were delighted to present cups, trophies and special awards to pupils who have consistently worked hard and embodied the values of our school.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and well done to every pupil for their hard work and contributions throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.

Some things to note:

School Photographs

At the end of June, our pupils looked wonderfully smart as they had their individual school photographs taken. A separate email will be sent to parents by the School Office with details on how to view and order your child's photographs. We hope you enjoy seeing the finished results, and thank you for ensuring the children looked so smart for the occasion.

Reports

Please keep an eye out for an email from Reportbox, the online reporting platform we use, which will be sent later today. This will contain your child's end-of-year report, giving you an insight to their achievements, progress and development throughout the academic year. We hope you enjoy reading about all that they have accomplished this year.

Autumn Term games lessons

Upon our return in September, pupils in Forms Four, Five and Six will begin the academic year with swimming lessons from Friday 11th September at KLC. Please ensure your child comes to school with their full swimming kit.

Pupils in Forms Two and Three will have their Games lessons in the Sports Hall on the same day. Please ensure they have their plimsolls in school so they are appropriately equipped for the session.
