On Friday morning, Ms Horgan presented LAMDA certificates to, Raphi, Eleanor, Pippa, Freya, Clara, Talia, Klara, Riley, Bruno, Poppy, Luca, Konstantin, Clara, Atia, Maxine and Lara who all achieved Merit or Distinction in their recent Drama exams. Congratulations to you all. Ms Horgan then led the school in a drama exercise to warm up the children’s voices, something that came in very handy for the Form Six candidates, who presented their speeches shortly after.
Praise for Clara and Rosa!
Congratulations to Clara in Form Three, who received two House Points for Sussex House from Mrs Hampton for creating a helpful and creative poster inspired by a topic recently discussed at Pupils’ Tea with the Principal. Her design reminded everyone that “Manners Make Meals Magic,” using fun alliteration to spread the message and link perfectly to our Bee Well Mannared behaviour code.
Further recognition goes to Rosa, also in Sussex House, who earned a fantastic gold star for a truly magnificent full-scale poster celebrating every aspect of our school behaviour code. Her design beautifully transformed the values into a flower, with petals for our behaviour bees to buzz around, a wonderful piece of creative craftsmanship!
The whole school gave both girls a well-deserved round of applause for their hard work, initiative and community spirit. Bravo to you both!
House Points:
Clifton = 981
Sussex = 917
House Captains
The atmosphere at school was filled with excitement today as our Form Six pupils delivered their House Captain speeches to their respective houses. Each child spoke with confidence and enthusiasm, sharing their ideas and hopes for the year ahead.
The office was transformed into a polling station, and pupils from across the school took their voting duties very seriously, thinking carefully about who they felt would best represent their house. It was a wonderful display of leadership, teamwork, and community spirit.
In preparation for election day, the candidates worked hard to craft thoughtful speeches and practise their presentations, showing great dedication and maturity.
The votes were tallied at the end of the day and the results announced to Form 6 pupils.
The results were as follows:
Clifton
House Captain Atia
Vice Captain Maxine
Sussex
House Captain Lara
Vice Captain Rafeeq
We know that the whole of Form Six will work together to support their respective house and CHS.
Christmas Card Orders
Earlier this week, children were sent home with a proof of their Christmas designs. They have been busy creating their own artwork for the school’s annual Christmas Card project with Miss Foster. These designs can be professionally printed on a variety of items, including Christmas Cards, Gift Labels, Mugs, Scented Candles, Calendars, and more. If you choose to purchase these items, your child’s artwork will appear on the front and their name on the back.
The proofs show exactly how your child’s design will appear on the final products. Please follow the instructions provided to log in and place your order for any items you wish to purchase. Spelling mistakes or other artwork issues can be corrected online during the ordering process.
The deadline has now passed. All items will be delivered to the school ready for collection closer to Christmas.
International Week 20th - 22nd Oct
Next week, the school will celebrate International Week, an event suggested by pupils to showcase the rich diversity of our school community. Parents have been invited to visit classrooms throughout the school to share their cultures, traditions, and heritage, giving pupils a chance to learn from the many global perspectives within our school. To mark the occasion, the lunch menu will feature dishes from around the world, ensuring a truly international experience for everyone

As the Festival of Lights approaches on Monday, we would like to wish all those who are celebrating a very Happy Diwali. May your celebrations be filled with light, joy and togetherness. In school, children will be learning about the significance of the festival and exploring some of its traditions.
