A Concert in Aid of Japan – Healing Hands: A Music of Prayer for Japan

Organised by one of our parents, Ms Nundra Majeed-Landau, the concert features Miss Wakatsuki, a soloist and chamber musician as well as a member of the CHS Music Department.

Since its launch in 2006, Alam al-Khayal, a Trust for Education and Culture, has been actively working to strengthen civil society in various parts of Asia by promoting an enlightened understanding of cultures and shared traditions. Under the aegis of the Trust, Alam al-Khayal, Ms Nundra Majeed-Landau.

Alam al-Khayal invites you to an afternoon of inspiration on 27th Nov 2011 where Japan’s very own musicians extraordinaire will play, with their healing hands, a music of prayer to support the on-going reconstruction of Japan.

The venue of the event is the beautiful Old Hall of Lincoln’s Inn, which has itself, since its inception in 1490 (two years before Christopher Columbus sailed to America) witnessed many a vicissitude in human fortune. No less is it fitting as a venue given its own history in the development of music and the ‘revels’; where ‘the greatest nobility of the Kingdom often placed their children, not so much to make the law their study, but to form manners and to preserve them from the contagion of vice’.
